Empty? (Luke 24)

Do you have hope? We misplace our faith so often. In human decency, the economy, the government. Each time we turn the key of our car, we have confidence it will start. Silly things.

Many have a hard time believing in miracles. They are afraid to be called a fool or to be let down, disappointed. So they believe in what they can see, and their lives are terribly small. They play a small role, on a small ball, floating in an endless space.

What if I am wrong? Suppose this ancient story of hope and faith is merely a myth. This beautiful tale of a Creator redeeming his creation, empty? Will I have wasted my life on a promise that would give my life purpose? Maybe.

What if it is true? The miraculous comeback. The story that has inspired thousands of others. Hope, not just of eternity tomorrow, but of meaning for today. The empty tomb. A resurrection from the dead. Could it be? Do this; open your heart to the possibility, and see where it takes you.
